Game Day!
Saturday, February 22, 2025
2 — 4 p.m.
A North Fork Women event located at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Southold
51900 Main Road, Southold
Join us for North Fork Women’s Game day. It’s a no muss, no fuss, grab a chair and play a board game or card came with new or familiar members of the NFW community.
You have your choice of:
-
- Backgammon
- Bannanagrams
- Dominos
- Family Fued
- Five-second rule
- Jenga
- Playing cards (Your choice of game)
- Rummikub
- Trivial Pursuit (4 kinds)
- Uno
If you want to play something you don’t see it listed above, then bring it with you to share.
We will have a few munchies and something to wet your whistle on hand. Please note that alcoholic beverages are not permitted, as well as gambling (real money), though you can bring chips for betting if you like.
Many table gamers say they play to unwind and relax. Games not only quell stress, but that the laughter enjoyed by participants can boost serotonin, “the happy hormone” that helps against anxiety and depression. Learning the rules of a new game – and then strategizing your plays – could be enough to keep your mind active — and that’s a good thing.
So please come and play with us! Play is free, we only ask that you sign up so we know how many to expect. (Donations are always gladly accepted.)
See you on February 22nd!
